Inside there is one slot machine. The community wiki lists four ways to spin it: a casino ticket, a low coin bet, a high coin bet, or a reward video. Every one of those counts as a spin, and that detail matters more than it sounds, because the Cooking Fever casino keeps a running spin count that changes both what you pay and what you can win.
What a spin costs: the 500 coin bet and the spin counter
The 500 coin figure everyone quotes is the starting price of the low bet. The casino percentage
In the top left corner of the machine there is a percentage. The wiki calls it the casino percentage and lists five stages: 100, 150, 175, 200 and 300 percent. It starts at 100 and steps up a stage every five spins. A coin win from a low or high bet equals the bet cost multiplied by that percentage, so a coin prize at 300 percent pays three times what you put in. Gem and shard prizes, and the prizes from tickets and videos, do not grow with every spin. They only grow when the percentage moves to the next stage.
The whole thing resets at midnight UTC: spin number, percentage and bet price all go back to the start. Not midnight where you live, and not when you claim anything. That one line is the key to the next section.
The 15 gem jackpot and the daily income timing trick
This is where the older Cooking Fever casino guides come from. Before the machine was reworked, the top prize was 15 gems, and the community wiki records that gems could only be won once a day, with the 15 gem prize available every 12 hours. Level Winner and Noodle Arcade built a routine around that: claim your daily income from each restaurant, walk straight into the casino, and place 500 coin bets until the 15 gems land. Noodle Arcade put the cost at somewhere between 5,000 and 25,000 coins for the first win of the day and between 25,000 and 80,000 for the second, and pitched the routine as up to 30 casino gems a day.
Why daily income? Each restaurant you own pays a daily income in coins, which the wiki puts at 300 to 1,000 per restaurant, and the claim button comes back 24 hours after you last pressed it. That gave players a natural once a day rhythm and a fresh pile of coins to gamble with. The claim itself never touched the slot machine. It was a habit, not a mechanic.
The trick describes a casino that no longer exists. The community wiki dates the rework to October 2022 and states that gems are still possible but far harder to win, and that the casino is no longer recommended as a gem strategy. The current Cooking Fever casino has no 12 hour gem window and does not know when you collected daily income. The only clock it runs on is the reset at midnight UTC.

Casino tickets arrived in the same update as gem shards. They are a currency of their own, earned mainly from daily quests, and you spend one by pressing the ticket button on the right of the machine. A ticket spin costs no coins and can pay coins, gems or shards.
Two details from the wiki make tickets worth handling with some care. First, a ticket spin adds one to the spin number like any other spin. Second, ticket prizes only increase when the casino percentage rises. Put those together and the order matters: a ticket spent at spin one on 100 percent pays less than the same ticket spent after coin bets have pushed the percentage up. If you plan to make a few coin bets anyway, make them first and spend the tickets afterwards.
