Cooking Fever Calendar of Rewards: How the Streak Really Works
The Calendar of Rewards is the simplest free currency in Cooking Fever and the one most people quietly lose rewards from. Its rules are stricter than the interface suggests, and Nordcurrent has published all of them.
It resets every month, not every streak
On the first day of each calendar month the Calendar resets to Day 1 for every player, no matter how far through the previous one you had progressed. The reset happens at midnight in the UTC +3 time zone, which is not midnight where most players live.
The practical consequence: a long run built up at the end of a month is worth nothing on the first. There is no carry over and no partial credit.
You have to actually collect the reward
This is the rule that costs people the most. Opening the game is not enough. If you do not tap to collect the reward, the next day’s countdown never starts. You can play for an hour, close the app, and have made no calendar progress at all.
Nordcurrent also advises collecting at roughly the same time each day, and specifically collecting the Day 1 reward between 00:00 and 23:59 UTC +3. Drifting later each day is a known way to lose a day without realising.
The skip penalty
Miss a day and you do not simply pause. When you return, you collect the reward for the day you skipped, which pushes everything back by one. The effect is that you lose the final day’s reward for every day you miss, and the final days are where the calendar pays best.
Two missed days in a month is not a small inconvenience. It removes the two largest rewards from the end of that month’s calendar entirely.
Why the UTC +3 reset catches people out
Nordcurrent is based in Lithuania, and the calendar runs on UTC +3. For most players that means the monthly reset does not happen at their midnight.

The practical effect is that on the last day of a month, the calendar can roll over while it is still that day where you are. If you were saving the final collection for the evening, it may already be gone.
A worked example of the skip penalty
Say you collect on days 1 through 9 without missing, then forget on day 10.
- Day 11 you open the game and collect. That collection is day 10’s reward, not day 11’s.
- Every subsequent day is shifted back by one for the rest of the month.
- At month end the calendar resets regardless, so the final day’s reward is simply never reached.
Miss three days and you lose the last three rewards of that month, which are the largest ones. The penalty is not the single day you missed; it is the tail of the month you never get to.
What it pays
Per Nordcurrent’s currency documentation, the Calendar is one of the few sources that pays across the board: coins, gems, gem shards and casino tickets. That combination makes it more valuable per tap than almost anything else free in the game, which is exactly why the collection rules matter.
The offline trap
The Calendar has to check in with Nordcurrent’s servers to register a day. Play a week on a flight or with mobile data off and every one of those days counts as skipped, with the skip penalty applied for each.

None of this is difficult, but none of it is explained inside the game either, which is why so many players reach the end of a month wondering where the big rewards went.
